Luxury with Heart

Introducing Fleurs Sauvages, Catherine Walker & Co’s First Foray Into Scarves.

Fleurs Sauvages is Catherine Walker & Co’s first foray into scarves, designed by the creative director Said Cyrus in loving memory of his wife Catherine Walker. For every scarf purchased until Christmas, Catherine Walker & Co will donate £50 to www.thehaven.org.uk, a charity that provides personalised care and support to people affected by breast cancer – and of which Said and Catherine were co-founders.

Catherine Walker was born and raised in France. When she was four years old her parents divorced, after which she was moved around France from Calvados to Lille and from St Gervais to Aix-en-Provence – “everywhere except Paris!” she would jokingly say.

She often spoke of the beauty she found in each of these places, and this silk scarf named Fleurs Sauvages (wild flowers) has been created to capture the gentle poetry that she saw and loved throughout her childhood: the poppy fields of the north of France, the flat blue sea and sky of Normandy and, above all, the wild flower meadows of the Alps where she said “butterflies would rise like a cloud before your feet”.

Catherine Walker & Co has chosen two alternative silks for this floral scarf. The soft silk georgette scarf is translucent and gives the colours a gentle haziness of an Atlantic mist. The silk crepe de chine scarf gives the colouring the more intense depth of the Mediterranean sun.

The scarf (90 x 90cm) is priced at £295.
