St Andrews Spa Makes A Splash

The award-winning Kohler Waters Spa at The Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort and Spa in St Andrews has launched an amazing six new treatments for members and guests.

The five-star spa added to its array of accolades at the recent Scottish Hotel Awards where their hard work was recognised and rewarded with the ‘Spa Treatments Award’ as well as taking home ‘Honeymoon Hotel of the Year’.

Spa Manager, Victoria Calcutt, is very proud of their achievements, saying: “Winning the praise and recognition from our industry peers is always lovely – it is especially wonderful for our team to know that their efforts really do count.” Victoria adds: “But we are very aware that to maintain such an exceptional level of service, we must continue to strive to be the very best – hence the development and launch of our latest treatments.”

Victoria knows her customers well and is sure they will “love the new, luxurious treatments” saying: “They include an amazing new Stretch & Flex Massage as well as an incredible Advanced Skin Restoration Facial – but we are most excited about the new Hammam Ritual.” Victoria explains: “It is an incredible spa treatment based on the ancient Roman thermae and traditional Turkish Hammam bathhouses – and focuses on water and warmth is its delivery.”

Unique in Scotland, the Spa has also launched Soul to Sole, an intense, relaxing treatment using Skin Authority products, popular with celebrities including Will Smith, Sharon Stone and Tyler Perry. Victoria explains: “We are the only spa in Scotland using Skin Authority products, and Soul to Sole takes the amazing properties of a facial and spreads them throughout the body. It’s a great way to unwind after a long game of golf, or for anyone seeking some seriously luxurious rest and relaxation.” Guests can also indulge in the VIP Red Carpet Treatment which includes a celeb-worthy beauty treatment complete with a make-up application.

Resort General Manager, Daniel Pereira, says: “Victoria and her team of therapists always manage to create a fabulous rapport with customers – ensuring everyone is treated as a VIP – and it is that real attention to detail that has resulted in the Spa being shortlisted for the very prestigious Good Spa Awards 2012.”
