Dessert and perfume on table

Great Scotland Yard Hotel, London, is launching a luxurious multi-sensory afternoon tea available from 15th February, in partnership with the iconic perfumery, Floris London.

Taking place in The Parlour, a room which draws on tales of Britain’s Victorian explorers, the multi-sensory afternoon tea has been inspired by the notes of the historical British perfumers luxury fragrance, ‘Mulberry Fig’. The Afternoon Tea has been created by the hotel’s Head Pastry Chef, Verónica Garrido Martínez, allowing guests the opportunity to explore this exclusive perfume.

Mulberry Fig is a scent that evokes a floral oriental fragrance combining the soft powdery character of orris with hints of fruit and spice. The perfume opens with a sparkle of fig and cardamom with fragrant green tones of vetiver and cypress. Amyris, cedarwood and sandalwood emphasise the overall woody character that permeates through the perfume. The scent is reflected through an assortment of delicious cakes and patisserie at the sumptuous afternoon tea that incorporate the key notes from the fragrance.

Indulge in savoury finger sandwiches such as ‘Smoked Salmon, Horseradish, Dill on Malted Bread’ and ‘Egg Truffle Mayo on Briochette’. With freshly baked warm scones accompanied with ‘Cornish Clotted Rhubarb and Elderflower Jam’, dine on an assortment of delicate pastries and cakes including ‘Raspberry and Violet Tartlet’, ‘Coconut and Cardamom Layered Slice’ and ‘Fig, Hazelnut and Yogurt Mousse.’

Floris London Mulberry Fig Afternoon Tea can be booked online or by calling 0207 9254 700. Pricing starts at £59 for a standard booking and £70 for a Champagne booking. Available to book 7 days a week from February 15th.
