An Estate Agent That Excels in Every Way

Established in 2014, Minors & Brady is a local, independent estate agent based in Norfolk. Following their recognition in the 2019 UK Property Awards as the ‘Leading Independent Estate Agents in Norwich’, we spoke with one of the firm’s Managing Directors and Founders, Alex Brady, to find out more about their best in class services.

There’re many ways to differentiate yourself in the estate agent industry. Of course, most settle on providing exceptional customer service, and while this remains a crucial element of the market, it is often not enough to mark a company as unique. It takes a certain degree of exceptionalism, a spark of innovation, and a need to go beyond the expected. Taking one look at their flawless client testimonials, it is clear that Minors & Brady has hit the mark. – seemingly catching lightning in a bottle. As undisputed experts in their field, they have made a quick impression, acting as leaders in their region and shaping their industry for the better, as Alex explains in more detail.

“If you’re thinking of buying, selling, or letting, then you’ve come to the right place. Our story is an interesting one. Jamie Minors and I were passionate estate agents who had relentlessly worked our way up from Trainee Negotiators, to Senior Valuers, to Branch Managers for other firms; Pymm & Co and Haart respectively. We both had a long-term plan to build our way of buying and selling via our own brand to ensure the same ethos was practiced daily. As competing rivals in the property industry, but friends outside of business, we coincidentally both realised we were due to set up our own firms in the same area. After much discussion, we both realised we wanted the same thing; to deliver the best possible service to all buyers and sellers across Norfolk, with one ‘super team’ under one brand.

“From there, as they say, the rest is history. Minors & Brady is now an award-winning estate agent offering an unrivalled level of service in our area. This has been years in the planning to offer people a successful combination of tools to give you the best chance of selling your home. We are friendly people, not robots. Every property, planned move and situation could be completely different, so an individual marketing strategy needs to be set out from the start, beginning with a valuation.”

Yet, the crux of Minors & Brady’s success lies in a simple premise – to keep the best interests of their clients at heart and to keep commitments, as Alex takes a moment to discuss. “For us, providing the best possible service lies in the little things. By always coming back to clients when we say we will, delivering on what we say we will do, and demanding the highest standards from each other.”

Regarding this team, Alex continues: “We hold weekly group training sessions with all members of staff and we hold fortnightly 1-1’s with each member of staff too. We are lucky that we have an incredibly motivated, and highly skilled team.”

Despite recent market volatility, this core team remain the key to enduring success for Minors & Brady. Naturally, Brexit remains a looming challenge, yet still, the firm remains confident of their ability to thrive despite disadvantages. “Brexit is a current challenge, but we have overcome it by maintaining focus and positivity throughout and focussing on clients who still have a desire/need to move. Ultimately, we have followed our own path – We have sold 67% of what we have listed to market in 2019 (stats from 01/01/19 – 31/03/19 – internal data) which is a huge step ahead of other agents in our local area.”

With these achievements in mind, Minors & Brady expects continued success to drive continued expansion, as Alex emphasises in his closing comments. “The future of our company relies on the continuous growth of our brand, growing the lettings and commercial side of the business, with a 3rd office to open soon.”
