Welcome to the April edition of LUX.

Last month, I enjoyed a visit to the high Alpine luxury resort St. Moritz, which is 1,800 metres (5,910 ft) above sea level. The visual and gastronomic wonders of the region are really qualities to behold and cherish. The luxury facilities of the Kulm Hotel I stayed in, were second to none, and I would recommend them to anybody.

On the subject of hotels, we learn that Corinthia Hotel St Petersburg has launched a Summer Escape package which embraces the best of the city and the hotel. It takes advantage of the summer period between May and July known as White Nights – or Belye Nochi – the period when St Petersburg enjoys late sunsets and early sunrises, with twilight lasting throughout the night.

Moving to a different part of the world, Research and Markets has announced the addition of the ‘Study of China’s Yacht Market 2016’ report to their offering. It is projected that the number of leisure boats and yachts in China will reach 100,000 by 2020 from a mere 3,000 in 2012. The market in 2020 will be worth approximately $8.16 billion.

This and many more luxurious experiences are covered in this stunningly illustrated edition, which I hope you enjoy reading.
