Its talented and experienced team has the ability to go the extra mile when it matters, and it knows The Grange Hampshire inside and out, so it is able to accommodate a seamless wedding experience which suits the individual couple. And most of all, it understands what it takes to create a magical and memorable wedding, giving the personal touch to every experience it offers, from allowing couples to make decisions on every aspect of their day, to offering them a delicious menu; locally sourced, seasonable, generous meals with a twist provided by The Grange Hampshire’s food wizard, Becka. There are three venues on the estate – The Grange, The Secret Garden and Abbotstone. Each offer something different, and couples can be sure the venue will make each wedding a one-off, combined with a tailored package of exceptional exclusive estate experiences allowing guests to spend time with those most important to them and creating an occasion to remember. All weddings are different at The Grange Hampshire – whether a large 150+ person wedding at its neo-classical semi-derelict mansion set in 600 acres of parkland, 250 person marquee wedding in the secret garden, or a small, intimate micro-wedding for 30 at its rural farmhouse and barn. It is proud of its flexibility to create exceptional and bespoke weddings to suit every couple getting married. With a stunning set of raw ingredients at their disposal, couples can be creative, realise their ideas to make their wedding special to them and feel they own a piece of the estate for the weekend. Mar21333 The Grange Hampshire Most Elegant Country Wedding Venue – South East England The team’s commitment, flexibility and entrepreneurial spirit has grown The Grange Hampshire’s reputation as an extraordinary place to get married. That is, of course, against a backdrop of unrivalled natural beauty and elegance that feels simultaneously both fit for the occasion and relaxed. Meanwhile, throughout 2020, it was frustrating, challenging and difficult operating within a changing set of rules due to the pandemic, but The Grange Hampshire found opportunities to get creative and do things differently, and the results were amazing. At the start of 2020, with a full house of weddings, excited brides and grooms planning their dream days, The Grange Hampshire was ready to hit the ground running. But that all changed in March. The next few months were spent rearranging and then rearranging again the weddings for those disappointed couples as the rules changed. But what happened in September took the events team to a whole other level. When it was announced in the autumn that weddings were reducing to 15 guests, the events team jumped into action. With three days’ notice, they pulled two celebrations forward and ran them simultaneously to allow two couples to get married. There was a lot to do and there were many challenges to overcome: the accommodation was unfinished, no wedding license, no menu or food, no flower arrangements, no cake, no tableware, no waiting staff, but the team made it happen. One bride, Sacha Pryor said, “Having suffered the disappointment of having our May wedding cancelled by another venue, we couldn’t believe our luck when we stumbled about Abbotstone. It’s just the perfect place for a micro-wedding. It ticked all the boxes and was just perfect. What it has taught me is that weddings don’t have to be lavish affairs with hundreds of guests. I think this will change how people do weddings in the future. The most important thing for James and I was to get married and we were determined to do that. I will look back on my wedding as a very special and happy day, spent with the people who mean most to me, with what mattered in place and set in a stunning location – and it was a tremendous team spirit; the attention to detail and professionalism of all at The Grange Hampshire that made it happen. I am so grateful.” Julia Mitchell, Events Manager for The Grange Hampshire said, “I am so lucky to work with a team who are always prepared to go the extra mile. To me, The Grange Hampshire is like nowhere else. It intensifies emotions and creates a perfect stage for a fabulous time. We love big celebrations at The Grange, but there is also something deeply personal and intimate about a micro-wedding. One of the things that I love most about my job is that no two weddings are the same and if I am looking for a silver lining from the last year it would be that small weddings are definitely an option for couples. In the end, a wedding is about two people who want to spend the rest of their lives together and maybe it can allow for more focus on what really matters.” With a busy wedding season in 2021, The Grange Hampshire team is excited to get back to doing what it does best and create exceptional and memorable experiences for couples.
