Recently, the firm were selected in LUXlife ’s 2018 Leading Designers Awards as the Leading Specialists in Residential Interior Design – Illinois. We profiled the firm and spoke to Christin Eggener, Founder & Lead Designer of C. Marie Designs, Inc who revealed more about their exceptional designs. C. Marie Designs, Inc. are dedicated to not only delivering innovative and personalized design, but to proving that the intimate relationship built between designer and client is a component just as important to the successful outcome of every space. In addition, C. Marie Designs has a simple philosophy: people genuinely feel good in a space that is uniquely their own. This can be achieved by using interior design as a way to exert your personal style, to show your character and to feel as though you truly belong in your home. Going into further detail about the firm’s approach to undertaking a new client, Christin explains to us how the team ensure that they achieve the best possible outcome, as well as what sets them apart from their competitors. “Here at C. Marie Designs, Inc, our approach to ensuring the best possible outcome when undertaking new clients or projects is to cultivate a personal relationship with clients to better understand how they live, what their interests are, etc. as it enables us to stay dedicated to delivering innovative and personalized design. “Alongside this, we also have a genuine interest to getting to know our clients. We believe that ongoing communication and meticulous project management results in projects that exceed client expectations. Unlike some design companies, we cater to any budget as we realize most people don’t have unlimited resources.” As for their innovative solutions, Christin points how the team at C. Marie Designs, Inc. are able to maintain their success as a designer in this competitive industry. “To maintain our success, we are dedicated to researching new product lines and vendors on a consistent basis. Also, we have a great trade account network, which ensures we are providing the best products in terms of quality and design. In addition, we regularly attend industry networking events and follow social media accounts to learn the latest trends as well as the do’s and don’ts of our industry. All of these techniques allow us to create innovative solutions for our clients.” Over the years, the team at Marie Designs, Inc. have worked on numerous projects that have seen them show their innovative designs. When reflecting on their most successful project to date, Christin touches on one particular development that stands out the most to her. “Our most successful project to date is a large renovation we completed a couple months ago. We believe we have transformed this property into a home that our clients never thought imaginable. “For this particular project, our clients were hesitant at first as they were unsure the floor plan could be improved to meet their family’s needs. In fact, they were considering selling the property rather than renovating it. However, after completing a long planning and design process we were able to demonstrate to our clients that the outcome would be substantial, and they trusted us to move forward with the renovation. “This project involved gutting the entire first floor of a 1950s bungalow style home by reworking walls, reorganizing the traffic flow and essentially overhauling the entire interior. Due to the age of the home, we had some unforeseen challenges once the walls were torn down, but we were determined to deliver our client’s the home we had promised. The end result, as well as our client’s reaction, was worth every challenge we faced during this project.” Looking ahead to what the future holds, Christin signs off by revealing what projects lie in the pipeline for C. Marie Designs, Inc. “The future of C. Marie Designs is very bright, and we feel that we will continue to evolve with the changing times and changing needs of clients as we always have. We specialize in new construction and renovation design but have plans to venture into the home furnishing market with our own brand.
