28 Jun21535 Sales and Lettings Made Personal Boutique Property Shop (BPS) was formed in 2019 from Jo Jarrett’s home office in Malton and it is an independent estate agent that brings a fresh, innovative, bespoke approach to buying and selling property across the Yorkshire region. Started completely from scratch when founder, Jo was going through one of the most challenging periods of her life, LUXlife has recognised all of this hard work and dedication by awarding BPS the title of Leader in Residential Sales and Letting Services 2021 – Malton. So, we explore how BPS has got to where it is today. Two and a half years ago, Jo began the BPS journey from scratch whilst bringing up two children as a single mum. Through local recommendation, long hours, dedication and love for people and what she does, she managed to bring on two fantastic team members and grow BPS into the thriving business it is today. With over 22 years’ experience within the sales and lettings industry along with local knowledge, Jo, along with her team can help clients find their next home, or sell or let their own property, and offer helpful recommendations such as mortgage advice, conveyancing and removals. It’s all about a good customer experience and making the situation as stress-free as possible. BPS offers great value for money, offering everything a high street agent offers, but at half the price, and even saving clients thousands of pounds in some cases! Working as a hybrid agent and having all the tools to work from home meant the BPS team was well prepared for the past year, showing its dedication and passion for meeting its clients’ needs. Looking towards the rest of 2021 and beyond, Jo and the team are hoping to expand into other areas and perhaps add some new staff members, while still striving to keep the business the way it is with a personal (not corporate) approach, as each and every one of its clients is unique and have different reasons for moving. I was going through a divorce, bringing up two young children on my own and lost my dad to cancer. It was one of the most challenging times of my life, but I was determined to make my mum and dad proud. I feel so lucky to have had the support of some wonderful friends, a supportive mum, and two wonderful colleagues and friends.
