Six years on and the friendly, family-run bar has become a staple choice for aficionados of Geneva nightlife. Entre Nous Best Karaoke & Cocktail Bar 2021 - Geneva Sep21133 The concept of karaoke started in Japan. Musician Daisuke Inoue was asked to provide recordings of his music for ordinary people to sing along to. It gave him the idea to invent the first Karaoke Machine back in 1971. The Japanese soon embraced the idea of giving everyone a chance to have their time in the spotlight. Since then, the popularity of karaoke has grown worldwide. But, during the COVID-19 pandemic, bars, and in particular karaoke bars, have struggled to survive. Based in the heart of Geneva, Entre Nous is more than a simple karaoke bar. The venue offers two separate rooms that can each welcome up to 35 clients. Each room has its own bar, DJ booth and multiple screens. The layout and decor of both rooms have been conceptualised with the ambience in mind, making it easy to maintain a constant party atmosphere. Whilst the bar is open to the general public, it is also possible to reserve a room for your own private party. Entre Nous hosts many corporate events and is a particular favourite for parties of all kinds. The bar’s clients range in age from 18 to 50, and the team prides itself on creating a warm welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable. Ana tells us, “It doesn’t matter whether you are a good singer or not. You can scream your lungs out and pretend to be Beyonce for a minute or two. No one will judge, no one will laugh at you and everyone will sing along. Entre Nous means ‘between us’, what happens here, stays here. In current times it’s important that people can have fun and forget their daily problems for a couple of hours. They can do this at Entre Nous.” Based on its values of respect, professionalism, and excellence, Entre Nous always strives to keep its clients satisfied and live up to their expectations. The company recognises that every client and group is different, and the team make a point of discussing events with clients beforehand to understand their expectations. Following the devastating impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, it was essential for Entre Nous to work on ways to ensure their clients felt safe when returning to the bar. The team has done this by putting in place all recommended hygiene procedures. Microphone filters are also provided as an added precaution. To ensure its continued success, Entre Nous understands that its clients need to be attracted to the area as well as the bar. Ana and the team maintain positive relationships with their local competitors. This means they are able to count on each other to protect the joyful atmosphere that surrounds the district. When recruiting staff Ana looks for honesty and loyalty. “Entre Nous is a small family business. There is a strong relationship between the manager and the employees. If the employees feel comfortable and are happy at work it reflects positively on their ability to serve the customers. It is this dynamic that makes Entre Nous unique,” she says. As with many in the hospitality industry, Ana is finding it difficult to look to the future at the moment. But the company plans to continue to innovate, and maybe one day will look to expand its operation. Contact: Ana Staebler Company: Entre Nous Web Address: http://entrenous-geneve.ch
