This is exceptionally important as this gives us the capability to match the environment where the items will live.” To stay ahead of emerging industry developments the firm has remained committed to technology as Jorge points out. “As a UK based company, we use highest quality CNC machinery to carve out all our designs. Moreover, all the projects we propose ourselves are completed 100% in- house or at our workshop by our expert team. By using advanced technologies, we are able to design and create modern décor and hand finish our products.” Despite the outbreak of COVID-19, the firm has still managed to prosper during these difficult and uncertain times as Jorge explains further. “Innovation is always present in our work and thoughts. With this in mind we have extended our wall art range into creating various home décor products. Bearing in mind everyone is staying much more at home now, the comfort of their environment has become even more imperative. Colours and shapes of what surrounds us not only affects our state of mind, but this can also play a crucial role in our mental health. With colours and shapes often influencing feelings and sensations, we have dedicated ourselves to creating decor in order to transmit a positive mental health drive into an environment. During the pandemic, we have created much more personalised and commissioned projects than we initially anticipated. In consequence, this has allowed us to go into markets such as restaurants, baby shops, zoos, and many more, across UK, Europe, USA, and South America. As a result, by innovating and matching customer’s demands we have been able to turn the pandemic into an extremely positive period because we have successfully expanded at a quicker rate.” Brining the interview to a close, Jorge signs off by reflecting on 2020 and what they accomplished, before revealing some of the exciting plans which lie in the pipeline for Wood Art Shop in the years to come. “Over the last year or so, we have provided products and services to a variety of markets and countries which were previously untouched. To develop and sediment this accomplishment, we will increase our product portfolio and continue to innovate at all times, while exceeding our customers’ expectations. Moreover, we will be focusing on developing further new markets both internally and internationally as this will allow us to remain at the forefront of the home décor industry.” Company: Wood Art Shop Contact: Jorge Miranda Website:
