Originally from Noosa, Australia, and Toronto, Canada respectively, the pair's love of travel led them to the beautiful Riviera Maya, where they settled four years ago. Amanda says, “I’ve been a wedding and lifestyle photographer for over 12 years, working both in Australia and here in Mexico. I absolutely love what I do. I thrive on human connection and creating beautiful art. Countless clients tell me that I have the ability to help even the most camera-shy person feel comfortable in front of my lens. I guess it’s a kind of ‘superpower’ that helps me capture those natural expressions. It helps that I’m very easy-going and love any excuse to joke and dance.” But when it comes to photography, Amanda is the ultimate professional, never happy to settle for second-best. She says, “I want to capture my clients' unique vibe with flattering light, cool composition, authenticity and connection. We want our clients to walk away feeling like they had a fun day hanging out with a friend but then to be amazed at the results when they receive their gallery.” Mike is Amanda’s assistant and second shooter, she tells us, “From my very first wedding, I have always had my husband by my side. He jokes that his main purpose is to ensure I don’t walk backwards off a pier, fall out of a golf buggy or into a pool. And yes, he’s saved me on a few occasions. But in reality, he also captures beautiful ninja-type shots on the side-lines at weddings that complement the story of the day. After years of living and working together, we can read each other without words. We make a great team.” Making the process as streamlined as possible is also important to Dream Bella. With couples often overwhelmed with the number of tasks they need to juggle, Amanda makes the whole process simple and easy to follow. Amanda explains, “Our couples get a complete service that includes unlimited email communications, a Zoom client call, and an editable draft timeline. We even provide tips to help them on their way to feeling organised.” Booking, contracts, payments and questionnaires are all automated too. Client software for the online galleries includes digital downloads and an online ordering page for printed products. Dream Bella also offers complimentary retouching of images used for printed products and albums. Dream Bella is one of the few photographers to offer albums on the Riviera Maya.
