With the advancement and demand of IoT 4.0 however, it created xR Stage Malaysia which has opened up a new range of possibilities for virtual and hybrid events. Carl explains further. “While initially the idea is attempting to host virtual events using traditional green screen methods, it was quickly discovered that there were many limitations within this technology. Inspired by the movie “Star Wars Mandalorian” which focuses on Virtual Production using LED volume, the decision was soon made to switch our focus to virtual production with xR (Extended Reality). And with all the support from associates and vendors, we have been recognised for launching the first xR stage in Malaysia.” The new studio is a joint venture with Giochi Academy - a trade school that has been teaching Unreal Engine for more than 10 years. As well as offering businesses a space in which to film adverts, corporate events or virtual tours, the studio will act as a learning environment for students interested in developing careers in virtual production. “We feel the excitement from the businesses and agency about this new xR virtual production.
