Then, its first international flight came in May 2004 between Kabul and Dubai. Ever since, Kam Air has seen substantial growth, now being on an annual turnover of $200 million, and offering budget flights to more than one million passengers each year. Kam Air is the largest tax payer in Afghanistan, contributing significantly to the GDP of the country, and it received the award for best tax payer from the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economy in 2017.
