Lucky Tree Café & Makers Market opened its doors in 2015 after a lifetime of experience in creating unique pieces of art by dynamic duo, Ashley and Amanda. Ever since their childhood, they have been crafting distinctive and exceptional items from things that would have been discarded if it weren’t for their innovative minds. They had always imagined themselves going into business together, and Lucky Tree started as a small seed many years ago. Lucky Tree stemmed from their little childhood treehouse where they spent endless hours making new items out of old ones. Boasting many years of creative experience, both Amanda and Ashley have gone into business level-headed yet extremely ambitious. The two have been filled with the desire to make their mark on the world, and they have done just that with the establishment of their trailblazing company. Lucky Tree hosts artwork and handmade items from over 50 local artists all looking to spark happiness in their customers, from all over, with their creations. Lucky Tree’s owners have worked tirelessly to perfect their recipes for gluten free, and even vegan, delights that everyone can enjoy. These sweet treats, and sumptuous savoury items, are all the products of their inventiveness and wishes to include everyone. Offering baked goods such as chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal cookie sandwiches, berry muffins, beautiful breakfast biscuits, and much more, Lucky Tree has a lavish list of sumptuous snacks for everyone to take pleasure in, in between their shopping and daily tasks. Providing hot tea, iced tea, and lemonade, as well as delicious coffee, Lucky Tree quenches our thirst whenever we need it. Its award winning coffee is fresh brewed, organic, fairtrade, and locally roasted for the best texture and flavour. At only $18 to serve 10-12 people, Lucky Tree sells its expertly made coffee at a very reasonable price, so that we can enjoy luxury for less. With its project “Planted”, Lucky Tree inspires us to look towards nature and all that it can offer to us. In 2019, Amanda and Ashley started their new project. This consists of a greenhouse and farm that is being built off grid, to grow a myriad of ingredients that are used on a daily basis. This includes tea, berries, and spices, and it also encourages more efficient ways of breaking down waste. In addition, it hosts nature and nutrient workshops that inspire us to be more healthy overall – giving us the tools to improve our lives for a brighter future. Now that Lucky Tree has won Coffee Roasters of the Year, North Carolina, it is set to continue altering the way we see artisan food, beverages, and artistic items.
