The Perfect Gift Awards 2023

Most Innovative Luxury Watch Company 2023 - Hertfordshire An innovator crafting the most uniquely designed watches of the modern era, Isotope Watches produces high-quality, original designs based on traditional watch engineering methods. Combining elements of pop culture, art deco, art moderne, and brutalist design, Isotope Watches creates captivating, bespoke pieces that redefine the boundaries of watchmaking. Founded by José and Joana Miranda in 2016, Isotope Watches’ mission is to produce elegant and affordable watches designed to stand the test of time. With a dedicated commitment to innovative production methods and ethical business practices, Isotope Watches has fast become an industry leader. The business delivers refined and sophisticated timepieces that extend beyond mere functionality to enthral its devoted clientele. Isotope Watches began with the sole objective of creating a new, limited edition Jumping Hour watch, the Rider. An invention of the Austrian engineer, Josef Pallweber, watches with a jump-hour complication do not slowly sweep between the hours but jump to the next hour every 60-minute cycle. The team set out to learn as much as it could about the watch industry, supply chain, and customers’ specifications. Its objective was simple, to design watches that it believed no one else was doing. Delighted with its progress, Isotope Watches now needed a watch designer, who shared its burning passion, to bring the vision of its Jumping Hour watch to life. Isotope Watches found its perfect match in an award-winning professional whose steadfast commitment has resulted in seven years of collaboration. The Rider Jumping Hour is inspired by Josef Pallweber and designers, Gerald Genta and Max Bill, whom Isotope Watches believe created some of the most iconic watches of their generation. The outcome of the co-founders’ hard work produced the limited edition of 99 Swiss Made Jumping-Hour watches and successfully launched Isotope Watches. The business is proud to only produce original timepieces featuring its Lacrima design, teardrop-shaped, incorporated in the watch’s dial or hands. Isotope Watches works with a highly skilled team of watchmakers, in Switzerland and the U.K., and an award-winning group of designers and suppliers across four continents. Although based in Hertfordshire, U.K., Isotope Watches sources talented industry professionals from across the globe to produce its portfolio of innovative designs. Following the success of the Rider Jumping Hour, the company launched the Goutte d’Eau, a timeless, stainless-steel design devised to survive harsh conditions both under and above water. After its triumphant first edition, Isotope Watches is set to release a new Goutte d’Eau in 2024, an enhanced version of the beautiful diver and sports watch. Next year will also see the world premiere of its first Dress watch, an elegant piece with bespoke movement and innovations to the case and dial construction, making it easier to read. In the latter half of 2024, Isotope Watches will not only be delivering a watch for slimmer wrists but also a new, ingenious development in its Jumper Hour. Isotope Watches combines a balance of aesthetics, practicality, and ethical practices to create its streamlined works of art. It is of little wonder that the company’s exquisite, purposely unique products have captured the hearts of watch enthusiasts worldwide. We look forward to following Isotope Watches’ further success as it continues to revolutionise the industry, redefining what is possible in the world of watches.
