Family owned and operated, Tuncurry Coach Tours specialises in providing quality scenic day tours and short breaks, as well as longer tours of up to 15 days, for individuals, couples, seniors and groups, always with a friendly and personal service. Operated by husband and wife team, Adam and Lisa McMahon, the firm’s fleet consists of a luxury comfortable 48-seater coach that is fully air conditioned, seat belt and rest room equipped, and features wide panoramic tinted windows with curtains. Special features include a vehicle lowering device for ease on entry and exit and a built-in hot water urn for refreshments. “Here at TCT, we strive to offer an exceptional level of service to every passenger that sets foot on to our coaches,” explains Adam. “Our primary goal is simple, humble and effective.” The couple also have a more unique goal of trying to keep people moving and mobile throughout the beautiful Australian countryside, regardless of their age or ability. Adam elaborates: “If we can help just one person continue to travel that no longer feels comfortable with arranging it all themselves, then we have accomplished more than words can describe.” The majority of TCT’s passengers are retirees or over the age of 65, that live in the beautiful sea-side town of Forster Tuncurry. These residents are part of a regular group of travellers that has grown since the early- 1990s through word-of-mouth after their great travel experiences. “The opportunity to do something that you love in a beautiful part of the world is exciting, It’s not just about running a business for Adam and Lisa McMahon, it’s also about providing a service to enrich the lives of others. We speak to the passionate pair about their dedication to their fellow travellers. Jan21494 Tuncurry Coach Tours Leader in Australian Regional Travel & Tourism 2021 but to live in a place where people are continuing to come to retire that still want to do a lot of travelling is a great thing for our area and of course for our business,” Adam states. “We are very proud to be local business owners and give back to a community that has done so much for us and our family.” The past 12 months have presented huge obstacles in the travel and tourism industry and Adam and Lisa explain that TCT has focused on staying engaged with its passengers and making sure the ones that are not able to travel, or have little or no family close by, still know that we care even when trips are not able to go ahead as planned. An unexpected advantage for Adam and Lisa has been that many of the friendships and relationships that they had with passengers have grown stronger as a result, and the duo are keen to engage them in the future planning process, which has gone down very well. “As a business we are always striving to improve. We are always looking for better ways to do things, for new places to go and easier ways to help people travel. As a business our strength is that we are always looking for ways to be our best and to make the experience special for our guests and fellow travellers for every minute of every trip. We constantly seek feedback so we can fine tune what we do.” Now, the company has some big plans for the year ahead, however its main focus is to make sure that passengers remain happy. With continued opening of borders and easing of restrictions further, Adam believes that things will eventually fall back into place. “In my eyes, we offer a unique service in particular with single and ageing travellers. We have helped people who have lost their partners, friends or their confidence, to travel again and meet new friends. This is very special and the reason we love what we do. When you see a person form a new relationship and begin to mingle with new friends, that is priceless.” Company: Tuncurry Coach Tours Contact: Adam and Lisa McMahon Phone: +61 412647790 Website: www.tuncurrycoaches.com.au Facebook: www.facebook.com/TuncurryCoaches
