Winter 2019

78 Combining the service of a five-star hotel with the privacy, confidentiality and freedom of a villa, The Greek Villas is the country’s luxury villa rental specialist, boasting a phenomenal collection of properties to suit all tastes and requirements. As The Greek Villas approach its tenth anniversary, LUXlife was fortunate enough to be invited out to Mykonos and Paros, experiencing firsthand the unmatched levels of luxury on offer to discerning guests. Unrivalled Luxury in The Greek Villas Founded in 2010 by brother and sister duo Vasileios and Anezina, to this very day The Greek Villas is a family-run business that draws on more than thirty years of leadership experience to deliver the ultimate luxury for travellers. Headquartered in Athens, the company now boasts an extensive collection of more than 300 exquisite villas across mainland Greece and 25 islands, each of which truly exemplifies what it means to be a luxury villa. Experts in not only villa rental services across all of the exquisite Greek islands, the team at The Greek Villas are also incredibly knowledgeable about their home country. Perfectly balanced, the company is big enough to encompass villas and services across the whole Greece, but small enough to remain personal and ensure that every guest is completely taken care of in every regard. Care and attention to detail are a specialty of every staff member, owner and partner of The Greek Villas. From the moment LUXlife arrived into Mykonos, we were made to feel well and truly cared for. Staff are friendly, helpful and always on hand to make sure that guests have everything they need, whether it be a hot cup of coffee with breakfast, or enough olives and feta cheese to last a lifetime. Every company that works for The Greek Villas strives for the same level of luxury, creating an effortless and seamless journey from beginning to end. For example, drivers at K&K car rental, who took LUXlife to explore, are kind, polite and safe, from carrying guests bags, to being chatty and knowledgeable about the surrounding islands. One of the villas that LUXlife was fortunate enough to sample was Villa Lopez, situated on the island of Mykonos. A small and windy island, Mykonos is an idyllic blend of rugged, beautiful hills and elegant, cosmopolitan luxury. Effortlessly combining the two, guests are made to feel as though they have discovered an oasis of tranquillity and serenity on an island of pure beauty. Villa Lopez is one of The Greek Villa’s largest residential estates on Mykonos, located on a rocky cape near the Super Paradise beach and a short five kilometres from the airport. With a central ‘Playhouse’ and a further five suites spread out across the whole estate, the views remain breath-taking from every spot. To the south, the estate offers superb views across the Aegean Sea, with the sun glistening throughout the day. Rooms come equipped with free Wi-Fi, double beds, en-suite bathrooms, and a selection of complimentary gifts. Those gifts are courtesy of A Magic Cabinet, a unique, multi-platform experience for people who seek to discover the most exquisite and eclectic products from across Greece. The products were wrapped in a packaging scarf, created by SOFFA, a nonprofit organisation that empowers female victims of human trafficking and refugeeism through vocational training and employment. The Greek Villas continue to support these organisations by raising awareness of their incredible work. Exclusive
