On the back of this win, we profiled the firm and spoke to Donna Palimeri who provided us with an insight into the luxurious retreat. Established in 2005 after two years of planning, sourcing, developing and lots of hard work, Kefalonia Weddings is one of the first companies to provide a personalised wedding service for the independent traveller. The firm’s weddings range from couples coming out all alone and larger groups of 100+ wanting to celebrate in style. When discussing the win, Donna is keen to highlight what the award means for the firm. “To be honest we had no idea about this award, but to be chosen has been a great honour. Although the company is not a new company we have been developing and creating some amazing new concepts, we definitely are One to Watch! Who knows what will happen next year?” Bringing the interview to a close, Donna reflects on the internal culture at Kefalonia Weddings and how she ensures that everyone is aware of the firm’s aims and behaves accordingly. “We all live on Kefalonia, some of us are actually English but mostly Greeks who are from Kefalonia. We are all very proud to be part of the team and all want to display our own skills in the best possible way to be satisfied in what we have created to the highest standards we can achieve.
