Martin Miller's Gin Has Announced A Gin Partnership With The Annual London Restaurant Festival

For 2019, Martin Miller’s Gin has announced an official gin partnership with London Restaurant Festival, the annual citywide celebration of eating out across the capital which will be taking place between the 1-31st October 2019.

The partnership will see Martin Miller’s Gin create exclusive Michelin-starred dining experiences throughout October at Texture Restaurant on Portman Street, the Beaufort Bar & Restaurant at The Savoy, and at HIDE Restaurant in Mayfair, with menus paired to its signature serves.

The installation, which will be situated in the restaurant’s private room, will evoke the famously wild Icelandic countryside, with Egger playing on the restaurant’s name and using Icelandic ‘textures’ including tree trunks, volcanic rock, flowers, faux fur and Icelandic moss to transport guests to ‘the land of fire and ice’.

The table will feature a wood and moss centrepiece infused with botanical spray to complete the multi-sensory experience. The transformation of the room will reflect the transformative quality that the Icelandic water – the purest in the world – has on Martin Miller’s Gin.

Fabienne Egger, Florist & Designer says, “The design for the installation took inspiration from the home of the spring water that characterises Martin Miller’s Gin. Working with authentic flowers and materials, I wanted to capture the remote, wild landscape that gives rise to the world’s purest water in a way that engaged all the senses, not only the eyes. Every detail has been carefully considered within the design.”

The space will further feature an imitation of Martin Miller’s Gin barrel aging store, to highlight the perfect conditions Iceland provides for the barrel ageing of Martin Miller’s Gin’s Moons range.

Guests will be served a four-course Iceland-inspired tasting menu, created by the Michelin-starred Head Chef Agnar Sverrisson, with each dish paired to a Martin Miller’s Gin signature serve. Dishes will include salmon, paired with a dill-infused Martin Miller’s Gin cocktail, lamb served with a Westbourne Martini, and coconut accompanied by a short cocktail made with Martin Miller’s Moons 9.

Whilst the installation and menu will launch in celebration of London Restaurant Festival, and will welcome guests for an exclusive tasting lunch on 19 October, one of the Top Ten Gastronomic Experiences, it will be available for bookings until January 2020.

David Bromige, Co-Founder, Martin Miller’s Gin says, “This partnership with Texture Restaurant and Fabienne Egger, as part of our work with London Restaurant Festival, provides an important platform for us to engage with our customers and showcase the unique provenance of Martin Miller’s Gin.

“Whilst London is where it all began for Martin Miller’s Gin, the transformative power of Iceland’s spring water is what gives the gin its distinctive taste and smooth quality. Hailing from Reykjavik himself, Agnar Sverrisson is the perfect brand ambassador, encapsulating this dual heritage, but also sharing our belief in the pairing potential of gin and fine food.”

“As a super-premium gin brand, it was important to us to showcase this belief via a partnership with the finest Michelin-starred dining, and we are delighted that this will now run into the New Year.”

Agnar Sverrisson, Chef Patron, Texture Restaurant comments “A partnership with Martin Miller’s Gin, which has both English and Icelandic influences, made perfect sense as a way to augment this positioning amongst our customers and a wider London audience.

“We are delighted that Martin Miller’s Gin chose to work with Fabienne to create a truly unique interactive experience in our private room that brings a piece of Iceland to the UK via the ‘textures’ that are our passion here. We believe it will be a big draw for customers old and new, and a powerful asset to have throughout the Autumn and over the all-important Christmas period.”

The collaboration with Texture Restaurant is the latest in a number of on-trade partnerships that Martin Miller’s Gin has formed, to create interactive customer experiences and showcase the versatility and food pairing potential of gin. This summer Martin Miller’s Gin launched a ‘strawberry fields’ installation at The Aviary London and for Spring it decked the South Place Hotel terrace with it’s citrus botanicals and florals to showcase its exclusive new drinks menu.
