Sketch Celebrates Fifteen Years of Success

Master chef Pierre Gagnaire creates 15th anniversary menu for the Lecture Room & Library

Sketch, the iconic venue in Mayfair, will this month celebrate fifteen years at the forefront of the London food, music and art scene. To commemorate this anniversary, Master chef Pierre Gagnaire has created a special Prestige Menu, which reflects the evolution of the restaurant, available to order in The Lecture Room & Library from March 23rd to June 22nd 2018.
The Lecture Room & Library, which has retained two Michelin stars since 2012, has also recently had a makeover courtesy of celebrated designer Gabhan O’Keeffe. Guests can enjoy the updated interiors along with dishes including home-made tagliolini with Russian Oscietra Caviar; a grilled 25-year-old “Pied de Cheval” oyster wrapped in Colonnata ham and finished with a Black Winter Truffle; a saddle of milk-fed lamb from the Pyrenees; finished with Pierre Gagnaire’s ‘Grand Dessert’.

Continuing its lead as one of London’s design hotspots, the interiors at The Lecture Room have recently been updated by leading interior designer, Gabhan O’Keeffe. The room, which is arranged under a stunning domed ceiling, designed by architect James Wyatt, now features a padded wall panelling creating a soft acoustic effect. Striking shades of burnt amber upholstery remain across carpets and chairs.

Next door, the Library now features a serene pastel pink and blue ceiling, complete with twinkling lights along with a marble fireplace. A new eight-seat private dining room will be unveiled in May, available for guests to book an intimate dinner party in these stunning surrounds.

As part of sketch’s year of 15th anniversary celebrations, acclaimed artist David Shrigley has given The Gallery a makeover featuing 91 colourful new works. The Parlour has also undergone a recent redesign by owner Mourad Mazouz and designer Andres Ros Soto. The vibrant restaurant, tea room and bar now also boasts a diverse evening entertainment offering curated by Resident DJ Greg Pidcock, which can be enjoyed along with a selection of new flamboyant cocktails created by bar manager Pepijn Vanden Abeele.
Mazouz’s commitment to art and design has seen the venue host over fifty exhibitions in the past fifteen years of artists’ work including Chris Levine, Tracey Emin, Carsten Nicolai, John Baldessari, Jonas Mekas, Silvie Fleury, Mary Ellen Bute, Charles & Ray Eames and Michael Nyman.
