Chateau Masburel was founded in 1740 by Jean de Sambellie, Consul of Sainte-Foy to King Louis XV of France, who used the Masburel site to build a chartreuse – a residential Chateau.
In August 2018, Chris & Irma Walker purchased the property with the aim of renovating the chateau, winery and vineyard. New equipment has been installed, vineyards have been restored and the aim is to bring new life into the chateau through its wines, tourism and events.
