As a professional chemist and distiller working in the flavour industry, Franz had already gained profound expertise, both in Germany and internationally, before entering into the couple’s first entrepreneurial challenge. From humble beginnings the family company has grown steadily, expanding its premises at each stage. When Destilla began its production of plant extracts it laid the foundations for future success. Franz Latka’s vision of a completely natural product portfolio started to become a reality in 1985. Understanding the importance of supreme accuracy and quality ingredients, Destilla continued to thrive and grow. At the end of the 90s, the company began to form its first partnerships enabling the company to expand its reach. Since 2017, the home of Destilla has been its purpose-built premises in the industrial area “Am Steinernen Mann”. The building features renewable energy sources including solar modules. In September this year, the company donated funds for the Bavarian Red Cross to replace their forest kindergarten cabin. It was a matter of the heart for us to support the nature and forest kindergarten.
