She is a Certified Interior Designer, and an allied member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). Her approach to design is deeply influenced by the connections she makes with each of her clients. She understands them and is able to reflect their personalities through the design of their homes, right down to the most intricate details. Passionate about getting it right, she will spend a substantial amount of time with each client during the design process – and even upon completion of the project – in order to ensure they are completely in love with the result and that it fits perfectly to their individual lifestyle. Sandy and her colleagues never stop learning in their work and it is important to stay ahead of emerging developments within the industry. As a member of the ASID, Sandy herself is required to attend ten educational classes every two years. On top of that, she attends local vendor lunch and learns, travels to trade shows, and visits markets across the United States. There is no shortage of work in interior design or construction in the Arizona area, either, with people continually moving there in droves. However, the challenge is keeping up with the demands and finding skilled labour. Product shortage also continues to plague the industry. But the team is resilient and they take each challenge in their stride. Every member takes on a role of ownership for each project, and biweekly meetings are held to discuss projects in order to assess progress and identify areas of concern. These meetings are also helpful in keeping communication flowing among the team. Now welcoming 2023 with open arms, the Lillian James Design Group team is focused on the first quarter where they are finishing some big projects that have been in progress for more than a year, including a large out-ofstate high-end luxury coastal property.
