We speak to the clinic’s Founder as he celebrates receiving recognition in the Health Beauty and Wellness Awards 2023. Providing both cosmetic and medical nonsurgical treatments, Phi Balance Clinic aims to improve a person’s psychological health as well as their appearance. The clinic is situated at SkinTouch, right in the heart of Crystal Palace triangle and has just finished it second year of trading. Owner, Mark Taylor, tells us he is “blown away” by the support and subsequent growth he has experienced from his patient group. “Every day I still get blown away about the impact such a small change can have on a person’s psychological wellbeing and observing the instant relief when they witness their results for the first time is a real privilege to be able to impart,” he enthuses. “It's really important to me whether you have been attending from its development or whether you are new to aesthetics and my clinic, that you still receive the amazing care and treatment that is required.” Mark knows first-hand how powerful medical aesthetics can be on confidence, self-esteem and general wellbeing having been through it himself and his values suit those who wish to stay closer to pure medical aesthetics. We are doing people an injustice when they receive treatments which are unnecessary and potentially cause psychological harm.” It's clear that Mark is very passionate about his role and, having been a nurse for almost 15 years prior to launching Phi Balance Clinic, he is all too aware of the damaging effects that some treatments can harbour. His experience, plus his compassionate, empathetic nature, are what really help to distinguish the company from competitors and stand it in higher regard than many others. “I think my patients really value the psychological interweaves that come with my background, each and every one of them hold confidence that I would say no if I thought they were reaching a stage of enhancement beyond recognition,” he states. “Respect individuality, retain what makes that person individual, but resolve sufficiently so that the person feels they have control over their appearance, ageing process and how they and others perceive them. This is what is unique about the mission of Phi Balance.” From its initial development, Mark wanted to make sure that Phi Balance Clinic had every base covered in terms of what it was able to offer and treat.
