Throughout these four decades the club has developed a strong relationship with both guests and members. As a result of the team’s hard work and commitment to constant innovation, the Odyssey has good repeat business, but are aware that their services and environment have to develop to make it exciting and fresh for the client, and as such they are constantly aiming to evolve and adapt around changing market trends and client needs. Among these trends, the spa is currently seeing a move towards non-surgical and health related treatments, and this an area that the club is developing. Recently, to meet this need the Odyssey introduced alternative treatments such as B12 shots, dry needling, derma roller and cryolipolysis to broaden its treatment base. Alongside the treatments they offer, the team also advise clients to look at wider aspects of health to improve their treatment results, such as; nutrition, exercise, relaxation and correct product prescription. There is a need to offer a much more holistic approach to looking good that goes beyond the hands-on treatment with the therapist, and this is the club’s core focus. Situated on 11 acres with extensive spa, pool, fitness and tennis facilities, the Odyssey is an independent spa and health club committed to leaving all visitors feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. To celebrate its win in our 2019 Hotel & Spa Awards we offer an insight into the procedures, treatments and services the club provides to everyone it has the pleasure to welcome through its doors. The Odyssey Health Club & Spa: Best Independent Spa & Health Club 2019 - Hertfordshire As part of this focus and its dedication to enhancing its already incredible reputation for excellence, the Odyssey is constantly evolving and developing the business to meet client expectations and industry trends. The spa’s expert team are never satisfied and are constantly striving to be better and exceed guest’s expectations, and this will drive them in the future as they enhance their facilities and treatment offering. Within the spa and health club currently the team are in the process of converting two squash courts into a new spa reception, retail area and spa dining downstairs, with a yoga/ Pilates studio upstairs. The team are keen to improve the client journey and the addition of these facilities will allow them to incorporate a new pedicure bar where its current client meeting area is. In the health club main reception, the team have further plans to change the main entrance to allow them to extend the spa’s heat and wet experiences on poolside. They have recently opened the spa’s terrace, which has been very well received and the development of more relaxation space is a key part of the Odyssey’s development strategy moving forward. Ultimately, these developments and future renovations will ensure that the Odyssey remains an integral part of the local community in Stevenage throughout the years to come.
