Anchored in a rich heritage and a history of academic excellence, this institution can be traced back to 1545 and the reign of its namesake, but such prestige does not serve to define the setting today, rather, it is famed for its forward-thinking approach and versatility when it comes to adapting to changes in our fast-paced world. The potential of every pupil is discovered, and their talent nurtured, with the team of staff ensuring that students of any age are afforded opportunities to develop in an exciting, challenging, and supportive learning environment. With some of the best facilities the Midlands has to offer all nestled in a wonderful location, King Henry VIII School is also visually stunning. From the historic main school building located on Warwick Road that has housed the school since 1885, through to its modern science block and kitted out sixth form centre, all teaching in this environment is done so in well-equipped classrooms. Aside from the building, 25 total acres of land now play host to such facilities as a magnificent swimming pool, a state-of-the-art sports hall, a huge climbing wall, as well as a new double astroturf, netball courts, and rugby pitches.
