The luxury RV site is revolutionizing the RV experience in Florida. Starting with 397 RV sites and 14 luxury rental cottages the launch was a resounding success. Company President Tristan Farrell and the team at Sunlight Resorts have big plans for the future. We take a closer look to find out more here. Sunlight Resorts Holiday RV Resort of the Year - Florida Dec21322 When the team at Sunlight Resorts set about planning what their flagship site, Canopy Oaks, would look like they left nothing to chance. The team took to the road themselves and visited hundreds of different parks. Sunlight Resorts asked thousands of holidaymakers exactly what they’d want out of their RV resort experience. And they listened, incorporating the feedback into the new resort. Fresh from 30 years of experience in the real estate development market, Sunlight Resorts was well placed to reimagine traditional RV sites. The company set out to redefine outdoor hospitality, offering visitors a luxury experience second-to-none. The RV sites themselves are oversized. And Sunlight Resorts provides extras that many companies charge for such as electricity, high-speed Wi-Fi, picnic tables, and fire rings as standard. Upgrades include full firepits and stainless steel grills. The Canopy Oaks resort is landscaped to perfection, boasting miles of wide avenues that are perfect for strolling or cycling. Safe for even the smallest guests to try out their new wheels. Wanting to provide more than just ‘a place to park’ the resort has a wealth of state-of-theart amenities for guests to take advantage of. These include a large outdoor swimming pool and hot tub, tiki bar, hair and nail salon, and a spa and gym. And if that weren’t enough, Sunlight Resorts coordinate a whole calendar of activities for guests of all ages. Sports such as pickleball and fishing complement the on-site games room and evening music and entertainment events. There’s something for everyone, and of course Canopy Oaks is located within easy reach of a whole host of local attractions too. Tristan tells us, “At Sunlight Resorts we strive to serve those who want a resort-style experience without the exorbitant price tag. We don’t discriminate. There are no restrictions on the class or size of RV, camper or fifth-wheel you want to bring in. We have cottages to welcome those who don’t have an RV too.” Initially, the company found the summer season to be a particularly challenging time to attract visitors. With temperatures regularly hitting the 90s and above in Florida, it was difficult to fill the site. But, with a little creative thinking, Sunlight Resorts began to offer competitive discounts for the warmer months. Happily, this has met with a positive response. When asked about plans for the future Tristan said, “we are constantly growing and expanding the brand. We have two more properties in south Florida that will be coming next year in 2023” With its Champions Run resort in Ocala set to open in June this year, Sunlight Resorts is working hard to ensure the company can launch its remaining 3 resorts by the end of 2023. Of course, the company is also keen to hear about land that might be suitable for development. They may also consider expanding into other states in the future.
