Our salt comes from the Natural Reserve of Sado Estuary.
On the left bank of the Sado, over two thousand years ago, the Romans built the largest fish salting center in the Empire. Fishing and canning made the small village located in Troia one of the most important canning centers in Hispania.
Known for its great qualities this salt was the most important economic product from our area and one of the most important exportation products from Portugal.
With this historical and quality product, we have created modern and organic recipes.
