The Dubliner 10-Year-Old: A True Taste of History

The Dubliner Irish Whiskey has released a Limited Edition 10-Year-Old Single Malt Whiskey, distilled in copper pot stills and 100% matured in oak casks that previously held Kentucky Bourbon.

The Dubliner 10-Year-Old captures the essence of Dublin, paying homage to the history of distilling in Dublin dating back over 500 years. Made from 100% malted barley and matured in 100% Bourbon Oak Casks, the Dubliner Irish Whiskey is owned by The Dublin Liberties Distillery, part of the Quintessential Brands Group.

The whiskey has a sweet, slightly spicy aroma with overtones of vanilla, honey and perfume notes; characterful and complex. This perfectly complements its rich, malty flavour with a smoothness and warmth at the end and a hint of chocolate and vanilla coming through. At the end it boasts a long smooth, slightly dry finish with hints of toffee, chocolate and vanilla flourish.

Sinead O’Frighil, Marketing Director of The Dublin Liberties Distillery owned by Quintessential Brands, commented on the launch.

“The Dubliner Irish Whiskey had an incredible start launching at Dublin Airport last year and sales to date have been really encouraging. We are delighted to be introducing this limited edition expression to The Dubliner range.  It is well known that the growth of Irish whiskies is at an exciting stage and we have high hopes for our approachable and smooth 10-Year-Old Single Malt in selected domestic and travel retail markets internationally – it’s a beautiful whiskey!”

Master Distiller, Darryl McNally, adds: ‘We are delighted to have launched a limited release single malt, distilled in the great tradition of Dublin whiskey making.  We lay the whiskey to rest for 10 years in Bourbon casks and carefully hand select each cask, to give a smooth, rounded finish that lingers long on the palate and in the heart.  There’s no city like Dublin, no whiskey like The Dubliner.”
