Transderma

Building upon 30 years of research, Transderma has brought together the best, most precious natural ingredients to create exceptionally pure, scientifically advanced skin care serums for women and men. We speak to company Co-Founder, Graziella Galleli, about the science behind its product range and how the brand is poised for future success.

Invented in Sweden and based upon Swedish research, Transderma is an innovation in natural skincare serums. Featuring natural antioxidants, vitamins and compounds which help the skin to maintain its vitality, Transderma products contain no superfluous, synthetic compounds, instead using just a few carefully selected, all-natural active ingredients with the power to increase cellular activity and transform the appearance of the skin.

Developed by entrepreneur and skincare expert Graziella Gallelli, in collaboration with the late Dr Alvin Ronlán (Docent PhD) and building upon his scientific expertise in more than 30 years’ worth of research in the fields of natural antioxidants and vitamins, Transderma was formed. It has since brought together the best, most precious natural ingredients to create exceptionally pure, scientifically advanced skincare serums, for women and men.

“Our skin is our first line of defence and subjected to a lot of environmental stress,” Graziella explains. “To remain resilient and attractive, no matter the circumstances, the skin needs nourishment that reaches the deeper layers where moisture balance and elasticity are regulated.

“Our mission statement is ‘For Life, For Science, For You’ and this embraces the essence of these inventions.”

The inventions of which Graziella speaks include the Transderma serums which contain no superfluous synthetic compounds and instead use just a few carefully selected, all-natural active ingredients with the power to transform the appearance of the skin. The serum product range, which is deliberately limited, also contains no preservatives, no artificial colours, no perfumes, nor have they been tested on animals. They are clean, natural and non-toxic, as well as being completely inclusive, for both women and men, of all ethnicities and all skin types.

“Historically, the primary objective of skin care products has been to achieve a temporary improvement of skin’s appearance, mainly by keeping the skin’s surface moisturised,” Graziella continues. “Today, however, more lasting improvement of the skin’s cellular processes and preservation of a youthful appearance by preventing or slowing visible effects of the aging process have also become important objectives for cosmeceuticals.”

To this end, Transderma has focused its research on key active, natural elements, such as vitamins, that are essential for skin’s vitality and appearance, but which come to be in short supply in the skin as we age. Such key elements are not just links in the complex chain of cellular processes, they are also able to initiate these chains and produce macroscopic changes.

“We can obtain many of the vitamins we need from our food. However, as we age the number of vitamins that reach the skin is reduced below the level required for revitalizing the skin cells, even with a diet rich in vitamins. We have discovered that targeted delivery of vitamins and antioxidants to the skin cells through topical application will boost skin cell activity to a more youthful level.

“Vitamins are sensitive substances and without preservatives most of them lose their activity. The system Dr. Ronlán has developed actually stabilises the vitamins in their natural, active form without using preservatives.”

Through his research, Dr Ronlán also developed unique systems to allow deeper absorption of vitamins and other types of actives into the skin. These patented innovations enable the Transderma skin care products to give the skin a supplemental dose of vitamins through topical application. The Transderma products act as a booster for essential skin renewal processes and quickly give visible results in the form of firmer skin, more even skin tone, improved lustre, and reduced appearance of wrinkles.

As well as having unique and pioneering products, Transderma also benefits from a dedicated, committed and trusted team of environmentally conscious and happy people, that are optimistic and confident in their approach to work and life. All of which helps contribute to a successful company.

The effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, which took the world by storm and brought many companies to their knees, were felt by Graziella and the team. Some of the challenges faced included not being able to physically meet people and allow them to test and try out the revolutionary line of serums and treatments.

“We could not attend trade shows, or conferences. We did not have events for our customers and we obviously couldn’t directly ‘touch’ our customers as we have in the past when applying our serums. However, we sent samples and had video conferences as our customers, I believe more than ever, want to take good care of their skin. Now, they want to use products that are safe and trusted, clean and efficient. They want to look good, and with social media as it is and having to show themselves on video more than ever, they want their skin to look its best!”

Regarding the future, Transderma seeks to make a difference and also to be the difference in demystifying the skincare industry. To this end, Graziella and the team will continue to strive to educate and empower consumers to make safe skincare choices by offering products with minimal, natural ingredients that are proven to be highly effective.

“We create the most scientifically advanced skincare products while still providing our consumers with a simple routine for taking care of their skin,” she enthuses.  “We believe beauty and harmony reflect the inward and outward appearance of the skin, for both women and men, and develop our products for a global reach.”
