With summer drawing to a close and our thoughts turning to crisp autumnal days and cosy nights in, The Bradley Hare, situated in the beautiful village of Maiden Bradley in southwest Wiltshire, invites guests to make the most of the autumn season by enjoying a range of activities from its newly launched Autumn Events programme. 

The activities, which are guaranteed to get those creative juices flowing, have been designed to enhance guests’ experience whilst enjoying their stay at the perfect countryside autumn getaway. Activity highlights include creative workshops such as collage, flower pressing and Christmas wreath making. 

What’s more, after enjoying the morning’s activities, guests will be treated to a delicious two-course lunch, where they can enjoy some exquisite cuisine from the newly launched autumn menu, with seasonal delights such as venison loin with pumpkin and pickled walnut, ricotta gnocchi with beetroot and cob nuts, to Jerusalem artichoke with pearl barley and Somerset pecorino cheese.

Collage workshop with Ele Grafton

Wednesday 4th October, 10am – 1pm with lunch to follow

Join artist Ele Grafton (@ele_grafton_studio) to make your very own unique, fine art collage composition.

Using a variety of materials to create a collage piece that is unique to each attendee, Ele will discuss considerations such as composition, colour balance, negative space and of course a large dose of experimentation and playfulness! 

 

How to press flowers with Ellie Jauncey

Wednesday 1st November, 10am – 12pm with lunch to follow

Create art with pressed flowers with florist Ellie Jauncey (@EDEFlowers).

Discover which flowers are best suited to pressing and learn about colour, composition and working in tones. Ellie demonstrates how to prepare and press the stems before handing over to you, where you can choose from her collection of beautiful pre-pressed flowers to create your own artworks and greetings cards.

 

Christmas wreath-making with Ellie Jauncey

Wednesday 6th December, 10am – 12pm with lunch to follow

Join florist Ellie Jauncey (@EDEFlowers) to create your own festive wreath that’s perfect for your front door or as a beautiful centrepiece. 

Demonstrating the techniques including shape, structure and colours, Ellie will be on hand to help as you create your own magical piece using foraged vines, foliage, dried flowers, pines, dried citrus fruits and more.

HOW: Tickets for each event can be booked via the website and spaces are limited to 12 per session, so guests are encouraged to book early to avoid disappointment. The price of each event includes all the craft materials plus a two-course lunch, served in the Bradley Hare’s dining room.
