Caroline tells us more about how the venue works alongside clients to offer them a truly phenomenal experience they will treasure forever.
“The Byre at Inchyra is a barn wedding venue near Perth in Scotland where we host about 50 exclusive weddings each year. Weddings at Inchyra run over three days to give our clients the opportunity to extend celebrations over the full weekend and couples have exclusive access to the Byre and the estate at Inchyra during that time. The Byre is a blank canvas wedding venue, meaning that couples can completely personalise and individualise their celebrations. We aim to accommodate anything that our couples want to include in their wedding and the whole structure of the venue is set up to be as flexible as possible.”
As a blank canvas wedding venue that guests can customise to meet their individual needs, the Byre at Inchyra offers guest flexibility and allows the team to operate ahead of emerging trends in the industry. Caroline takes a moment to discuss these in more detail.
“The wedding industry is constantly evolving, with couples having different and more varied ideas each year, and the team work hard to meet these requirements. I would say it is a pretty buoyant market, certainly in our sector. I think that there is a trend towards more personalised and less traditional weddings and we are very much part of that. From the beginning we did not look at other venues to see how to do things – if anything we looked at how not to do it – and we have developed everything from scratch on our own terms. I think we are very lucky with our key management team; I am a designer and have brought much of the aesthetic to the venue, my husband James is a Chartered Accountant which means that we have great management information available at all times which allows for good planning. And my brother Tim, our Estate Manager, is incredibly innovative and hands-on, together with having significant event management experience. It is a very good combination.
“Obviously, as with any profitable market sector, new venues enter the market each year and so our approach is to make sure that we never stand still. Firstly, we keep everything that we currently offer in tip-top condition and secondly, we look to constantly evolve. For example, last year saw the refurbishment of a major part of the old stable block at Inchyra into a luxurious new Bridal Suite which has added hugely to the overall experience that couples have.”
As she looks to the future, Caroline is excited about the prospect of welcoming more guests to the Byre at Inchyra and offering them a unique experience that they can cherish forever.
“Having created a wedding space that we feel meets our clients’ needs and is spacious enough to welcome the number of guests they require, moving forward our core focus is now on quality, as we seek to host even more unforgettable weddings and ensure that everyone who visits the Byre at Inchyra has a truly unforgettable experience.”
