Luxury Holiday

Everyone likes to travel. Seeing new places, meeting new people, and being able to take a vacation are some of the things that make us human. But there is more than one kind of traveling – sometimes you want to go where everyone knows your name, and other times you may want to explore an unknown destination – both have their perks! Let’s explore how you can make the most of your vacation and make it memorable!

Upgrade Your Stay

No, we don’t mean upgrade your friend’s couch or house-share! We mean changing the location you are traveling to, whether it be by plane or train. When you book your travel arrangements to a new destination, there is typically an option of what kind of room (or area) you would like to stay in. One great way to have a luxurious vacation is to rent a mansion with whoever you’re traveling with. Depending on your budget, you can rent a more luxurious mansion for the same price as the one you paid initially for regular accommodation!

Also, try going on booking websites rather than going with a travel agency and booking accommodation through them. You can get the best price if you contact the hotel or mansion owner directly rather than paying agency fees.

Rent a Luxury Vehicle

Tired of wasting time on a bus or an airplane? Renting a luxury vehicle is the best way to get around! Whether you want to rent a yacht, helicopter, or even an amphibious vehicle (just kidding), there is usually more than one option of luxury vehicles and/or boats that you can rent in your travel destination. While this might sound like an expensive option, it can be cheaper than taking a taxi or bus to your destination (if you’re going over a certain distance). Not only that, but you get the bonus of not having to deal with annoying strangers.

Get a Limo Driver

Speaking of not wanting to deal with strangers, getting a limo driver is always a great way to make your vacation more luxurious. A little pricey, but worth it! A lot of times you can find package deals for this too if you’re planning on renting one during an event or at night – there are pros and cons to both options, so think about what you’ll be doing before booking this option.

Get a Massage or Spa Treatment

There is nothing quite like ending a long day of exploring by getting a massage! Whether it’s an aromatherapy massage, facial treatment, foot reflexology, Swedish massage, deep tissue massage (my personal favorite), or hot stone therapy – there is plenty to choose from when it comes to massages and spa treatments. Simply search for the closest “spa” or “massage parlor” to your hotel and schedule an appointment today!

This is especially a luxurious option for women if you’re traveling with your girlfriends.  You can make massages and spa treatments a part of your bachelorette party in the destination of your choice!

Add Another Night to Your Stay

If you’re in paradise, why not stay in paradise for just a little bit longer? Sometimes there are deals where you can add another night to your stay for free or with discounted rates. Some places will even give you an upgraded room if their hotel is fully booked due to high demand – it never hurts to ask! Don’t forget when planning your trip, whether it’s luxury or not, to always travel prepared. This means making copies of all important documents (like ID), packing things like extra underwear and socks as well as sticking to your budget so you don’t break the bank.

Choose the Right Location

When traveling, everyone has different priorities – some like spending time with family, others like exploring the city they’re in. So when it comes to your vacation, you may want to prioritize what is most important to you and choose a location accordingly! If you need peace and relaxation, stay away from big cities where there will be lots of people and maybe even noise coming from outside-unless this is exactly what you want out of your trip! Think about what makes you happy and choose your destination according to that!

To make your travel experience luxurious, visit places that have that “vibe”. For example, if you want to go to Italy, visit Venice or Portofino rather than Pisa or Milan. You can also choose to stay in a big city yet visit the outskirts of the town to enjoy some peace away from all the people, traffic, and daily noise!

Pack Accordingly

One luxury you can bring is extra items of clothing or other travel accessories. A great way to make your vacation more luxurious is by bringing the clothes and amenities more expensive brands to offer. It will help you feel like a million bucks!

Pack accordingly for where you are going – if it’s a beach destination, bring your bikini and sunscreen, along with some flip-flats in case there is no shade on the beach. Bring workout gear with you as well so that when you’re done exploring the city or relaxing at the beach, you can work out and refresh yourself.

Be Careful With What You Eat

While we all want to indulge ourselves during our travel experience, be careful about what kind of food you eat. Most restaurants in a travel destination will be all-you-can-eat or buffet so try to avoid these kinds of places if you want to stay healthy! Instead, eat fruits and vegetables at your hotel restaurant. If you must go out for food, choose a healthier option that isn’t fried. For example, opt for grilled chicken or fish rather than chicken tenders or fish and chips fried in oil.

Now, you might not want to do all of these things on one trip (especially if they’re not in your budget – like renting a luxury mansion). But maybe try booking a spa treatment at the end of each day on vacation to make it feel like a real vacation. Renting a luxury vehicle will allow you to explore more in your spare time, getting a massage or spa treatment will help you unwind after all that exploring, and if nothing else is working for you then just add another night at your hotel!
