It’s time to prepare for that perfect getaway. That idyllic sun-drenched retreat. The untouched slopes, and warm, cosy chalets. The jungle paradise offering the quintessential way to reconnect with nature. Whatever your cup of tea – whether you are setting off for tropical climates or arctic ones – it’s important to claim some time for yourself.

This holiday issue of LUXlife was curated to showcase the top-tier establishments who are looking to redefine luxury standards across the industry. Some are sector stalwarts, those ‘worst-kept-secret’ types that have thrived since their establishment. Yet, as with any industry, there’s no end to the ‘new blood’ that is being injected, finding a foothold by rocking the boat.

Following on from last issue’s inclusion, we once again spotlight Avani Hotels & Resorts. This time around we took a look at Avani+ Samui, Avani+ Riverside Bangkok Hotel and Avani Avenida Liberdade Lisbon Hotel to find out how they have perfected a seamless sort of luxury, regardless of the city or country that they find themselves in.

Sedona is a beautiful part of the United States, with its defining red-rock buttes and expansive mesas. One of the region’s hidden treasures is A Sunset Chateau, a family-run boutique hotel in West Sedona. We spoke with General Manager and Owner, Jean Christophe Buillet to find out more about their extraordinary hotel and how they have enjoyed a reputation built on a peerless guest experience.

Finally, we spoke to Hotel Portinari’s Press Officer, Kelly De Muyt, about the hotel’s unique aesthetic, and how they have flourished in Bruges, a highly competitive, up-and-coming market.

Meanwhile, the team here at LUXlife Magazine hope that you enjoy reading this holiday edition and hope to hear from you very soon.
